The Battle of Lade was a naval battle that took place in 494 BC as part of the Ionian Revolt against the Persian Empire. The battle was fought between an alliance of Ionian cities and the Persian Empire which was led by Darius the Great. The battle was a decisive victory for the Persians effectively ending the revolt.
