One of the other progressive era reforms supported by temperance organizations was establishing a justice system for juveniles that was separate from the system for adults. Put yourself in the place of a progressive reformer. In a short paragraph, explain why a separate juvenile justice system is necessary.

    The Juvenile issues have to do with a culture of crime that must be addressed separately.

    Explanation:

    To punish juveniles with he same views as that of the adults is to forget the distinction that the law is to discipline the anti social elements not to punish them and keep them out of the society foreseer.

    Prison systems are supposed to reform the people in them.

    This is more important in terms of juveniles too because they can be assets to the society and often they commit crimes in influence of other adults.

    So they require separate systems of justice for their rehabilitation.

    The blending of adults and juveniles in adult jails is considered unjust and remains a problem. Since the 1970s, the juvenile justice system has sought to place juveniles in separate facilities to protect them from the criminogenic impacts of older, adult offenders (those who tend to create crime or criminals).
