After the invasion of Iraq in 2003, the US found no WMDs.

Before the invasion of the US troops over Iraq, the Security Council of the United Nations had found no Weapons of Mass Destruction of WMDs in Iraq. However, President George W. Bush did not wait for a clearance from the United Nations Security Council to give the order to invade the Middle East country, in a controversial decision that divided many in US politics. At the end of the operation, the US Army did not find any WMDs, proving that the invasion was for economic reasons.
