Why do you think a person might agree to become a confidential informant for a law enforcement agency?

    They might not want to be known in the public due to fear of retaliation or violence in the criminal community.

    They can also use this to avoid trouble with law enforcement or lessen sentences

    Answer if they are in trouble with the law they can get their sentence lowered or even eliminated by becoming a "CI" or a Confidential Informant.
