    The first Amendment to the US constitution prevents the government from making laws to regulate free exercise of religion, freedom of speech and press and right to petition the government for redresses of grievances and establishment of religion. It is one of the ten amendment of Bill of Rights and was adopted on December 15, 1791. It is commonly called as first amendment.
