It is easier to be found guilty in a civil trial. In a criminal trial, a crime must be proved "beyond a reasonable doubt", meaning there is no doubt in the judge or all jury members mind. In civil, cases are proved by evidence which is a lower standard of proof. All the lawyer has to do is provide sufficient evidence.

Is more likely to be found guilty in a criminal, because of the fact that the prosecutor has the burden of proof, or the responsibility of proving her hay the defendant is guilty.
