    Explanation:

    This is so that people don't get injured by careless driving. Some pedestrians don't pay much attention to their surroundings, so it's up to you as a driver to make sure you don't hit anyone.

    Some cars might think they have right of way, when they don't, so you have to be careful of them as well

    Pedestrians always have the right of way. Even if it appears you have the right of way, someone in a car is always responsible to look out for pedestrians
