    No, the article of confederation did not have an executive branch

    Explanation:

    On 15 November 1777, the continental congress adopted a plan for the inaugural national government under the article of confederation. After two days, congress sent the article to the states, which approved the new government in the March, 1781. Created to unify the 13 colonies, the article nevertheless established a largely decentralized government that vest more power in the states and in the national legislature. Concerned with the accumulation of power in few hands, the article did not establish executive branch power and they greatly circumscribed the role of courts.
