Incidentally, Wang Houqing, a national of the people's republic of China, decided to make fake Gucci-like products, placed them on his websites and sold the goods according. When the US Company detected the fraudulent act by this Chinese national, they filled a lawsuit against Wang in order to stop him from using their trademarks to do business. The court, before getting into the case, had to ascertain if it had jurisdiction over Wang Huoqing. The Court later did confirm it had personal jurisdiction over Wang and later granted Gucci an injunction.
