What goals/purposes of the criminal justice system justify criminal action against Snowden? Why?

First off your sworn to an Oath. Snowden knew what his job duties were. His actions put lives of people that took same Oath as he. He has and had no right to risk the cover and lives of those other agents. Idc what he knows this day and age of technology " spying" is necessary. People always wanna know the "truth" that is until the "truth'' is spoken and hate to sound cliche, people cant handle the truth.
