    Since 4 and 2x are the deominators of the twwo sides, the denominnator 2x will multiply the numerator of the first side and 4 will multiply the numerator of the second side. it will give - 6x = 24

    divide both sides by - 6

    x = - 4

    -3/4 = 6/2x

    6x * 4 = - 3 * 2

    24x = - 6

    x = - 6/24

    x = - 0.25
