The results of a poll show that the percent of people who want a new restaurant is in the interval (42%, 78%). There are 128,523 people in the city

Total people in the city = 128,523

We need to find 42% of total people and also 78% of total people

    42% of total people = 0.42 * 128,523 = 53,979.66 = 53,980

    78% of total people = 0.78 * 128,523 = 100,247.94 = 100,248

the interval for the number of people who are likely to want this restaurant in their city is (53,980, 100,248)
