First, we need to know how many cups are in one peach pie.

We can do this by taking 10 divided by 2.

    10 / 2 = 5

So, every peach, there are 5 cups in that pie.

We want to know how many cups of peach are going to be in 9 peach pies. Just multiply.

    5 * 9 = 45

    45 is your answer.

So each pie=5 cups of peaches so lets count up to nine 5=25 | 6=30 | 7=35 | 8=40 | and finally 9=45 ... so nine pies needs 45 cups of peaches
