Erika has three pieces of ribbon. Each peice is 25 yards long. she needs to cut pieces that are 22inches long. What is the greatest number of 22-inch pieces that she can cut from the three pieces of ribbon?

    1 yard=36".

    25 yeards = 25*36" = 900"

    3 rolls = 3*900 = 2700"

    Each piece must be 22" long, so the number of pieces

    = 2700/22 = 122 pieces (2684") with 16" left over.
