Margaret grew apples on a portion of her garden last year. She intends to reduce the length of each side of the portion of her garden she uses this year by 15%. If the length of each side of the portion she used last year was 15 feet, what is the new length of each side of the garden she wants to use to grown apples?

    orignal=100%

    decrease by 15%=100%-15%=85%

    find 85% of original

    orignal=15 feet

    85% of 15=0.85 times 15=12.75 feet

    answer is B
