Hello:

y = 2x - 4 ... (1)

y = (x - 1) ² - 5 ... (2)

subsct in (2):

2x - 4 = (x - 1) ² - 5

2x - 4 = x² - 2x + 1 - 5

x² - 4x = 0

x (x-4) = 0

x = 0 or x = 4

if : x = 0 y = 2 (0) - 4 = - 4

if : x = 4 y = 2 (4) - 4 = 4

two solutions : (0, 4), (4, 4)
