Shania is making a scale diagram of the badminton court at the community center. She uses a scale of 1 centimeters to 0.5 meters to draw the scale diagram. If the scale length of the badminton court is 26.8 centimeters and the scale width is 12.2 centimeter, what is the actual area of the court?

    The actual area of the court is 81.74 meters. Since every 1 centimeter is equal to half a meter, you simply multiply the number of centimeters by. 5. Which would make the length 13.4 and the width 6.1 meters. Then you multiply these two by eachother and it would give you an area of 81.74 meters.
