The last 4 terms all have 1/6 difference so 1/6x if x is the numbered term in the sequence. The first number doesn't follow f (x) = 1/6x so find the constant to add or subtract

    1/2=1/6 (1) + ?

    1/3 so the sequence is represented by f (x) = 1/6x+1/3

    f (1) = 1/2

    f (2) = 2/3

    f (3) = 5/6

    f (4) = 1

    f (5) = 1 1/6

    f (6) = 1 1/3
