Sally wants 3 dozen peanut butter cookies, 4 dozen snickerdoodles, and a dozen chocolate chip cookies. How many cookies will Sally have?

    A dozen actually means 12. So, 3 dozen cookies is 3x12 = 36 cookies. Likewise, 4 dozen cookies is 4x12 = 48 cookies. One dozen cookies is 1x12 = 12 cookies. Add these all up and you get 36+48+12 = 96 cookies.
