In an engine, there are cylinders where the pistons travel up and down. The cylinders fill with a gas the eventually ignites which creates the combustion needed for the engine to stay running. A ford motor has 8 cylinders, each with 5in diameter, each with a 5in diameter and a height of 8in. What is the total volume, all the cylinders combined, in the engine?

    V=1256.64

    Step-by-step explanation:

    The volume for a cylinder is calculated with this equation

    V=πr2*h

    Radius=2.5

    Height=8

    Plug everything in

    V=π (2.5) (2) (8)

    V=157.08

    Multiply by the amount of cylinders

    V=157.08*8

    V=1256.64
