A local market sold 6 containers of jumbo shrimp on Saturday. The following list shows the number of shrimp that were packaged in each of those containers. What is the median number of shrimp that fit into the containers? {101, 97, 82, 85, 82, 91}

    First, put all the numbers in order (82,82,85,91,97,101).

    Since it is even, the median lies between 85 and 91. You would add both numbers and divide by 2 to achieve the median number. This equals 88.
