The speed of train a is 6 mph slower than the speed of trainb. train a travels 200 miles in the same time it takes train b to travel 230 miles. find the speed of each train.

    Let the speed of train a is x and that of train b is y

    y-x=6

    let the time taken to reach this distance is t

    xt=200

    yt=230

    x/y=20/23

    by solving the to equations simultaneously

    x=40 mph

    y=46 mph
