An instructor gives a pop quiz consisting of 10 multiple choice questions, where each question has 5 choices, (a) through (e). What is the probability of passing the pop quiz if you guess the answers and you have to get 8 questions correct?

    each question has a 1 in 5 chance to be correct, or 0.2 chance to get a question right. you only need t get 8 right so multiply 0.2 8 times or 0.2^8 to find the possibility of getting 8 correct the other two answers don't matter and are not needing to be counted. 0.2^8 = 0.00000256 or 0.000256% chance
