    Justification

    1) ∧ is the and operator

    2) ~ is the symbol for negation (which is the same that making false)

    3) p ∧ ~q means p and not q.

    4) The and operator means that the two joined premises, this is p and ~q, have to be true for the whole statement ve true.

    5) It is given that p is true and q is false, then p and ~ q is true.
