    4 - 1 (x) - 1 (2) < - 3 (x) - 3 (4)

    4 - x - 2 < - 3x - 12

    +3x + 3x

    2 + 2x < - 12

    -2 - 2

    2x < - 14

    :2 : 2

    x < - 7

    assume that x = - 8

    4 - (-8 + 2) < - 3 (-8 + 4)

    4 - (-6) < - 3 (-4)

    4 + 6 < 12

    10 < 12 the inequality is true.
