    This is the concept of application of Pythagorean theorem. Given that the legs have a length of 36 units, to find the hypotenuse we shall proceed as follows;

    c^2=a^2+b^2

    c^2=36^2+36^2

    c^2=1296+1296

    c^2=2,592

    c=sqrt2,592

    c=50.91169 units
