40% of the price of ads during the week or 60% less by advertising on Saturdays

    Step-by-step explanation:

The department store pays on a normal week day for two days a week will be

    1/4 * (2 days) * (16 weeks) * x = 8 x

However on Saturdays ads the department store pays

    1/4 * (1 days) * (16 weeks) * 0.8 * x = 3.2 * x to the Country Times on Saturdays

Which is 40% of the price of ads during the week or 60% less by advertising on Saturdays
