    Knowing that f (x) = 6x-4 and f (x) = 26 we can substitute fx as 26 and solve equation

    26=6x-4 / + 4 add 4 both sides

    26+4=6x

    30=6x / : 6 divide both sides by 6

    30:6=x

    6=x - its our result
