Circumference of tire is 7.853982 Ft and 672 rotation have to be made to cover 1 mile for a tire.·

    Step-by-step explanation:

    a) As we know that circumference = 2 * Pi * radius

Pi is constant=3.141593 and 2 is constant

To calculate radius we have to divide diameter by 2 w get 1.25 ft

    Ultimately we get 7.853982 ft.

    b) One rotation of tire covers 7.85392 ft (As we know that 1 mile=5280 ft) /

To cover 1 mile we would divide 5280/7.85392, we get 672 rotations of tire.
