Bill has a box of markers that has a base of 8 cm x 20 cm wide and they height of 6 cm. Martins pencil box hasn't had a 4 cm and a base of 15 cm x 16 cm. Bill says marker box has the same volume as martins pencil box is bill right? Explain.

    Volume = base x width x height

    Bill's Box is 8x20x6=960 cm^3

    Martin's Box is 4x15x16=960 cm^3

    Bill is right. The boxes have the same volume.
