Yesterday, Jack drove 33 and one half miles. He used 1 and one fourth gallons of gasoline. What is the unit rate for miles per gallon?

    33 1/2 = (2*33 + 1) / 2 = 67/2

    1 1/4 = (4*1 + 1) / 4 = 5/4

    67/2 divided by 5/4
