    Find the hits of each player in the baseball session.

    Together they hit 18 home runs

    Peter = > 2 (x - 6), where x is equals to Alice’ hit

    18 = x + y, where y is equals to Peter’s hit

    Let’s start from 18 = x + y, Let’s find the value of y

    => 18 = x + y

    => 18 - x = y or y = 18 - x

    Now, we have the value of y we need to find the value of x

    18 - x = 2 (x - 6)

    18 - x = 2x - 12

    -2x - x = - 18 - 12

    -3x = - 30

    x = 10

    Thus, Alice hits 10 times and Peter hits 8 times.
