If the sum of two numbers is 4 and their product is 15/4. find the number

    x+y = 4

    So one number is x & the other one 4-x

    So

    x (4-x) = 15/4

    4x - x^2 = 15/4

    15 = 16x - 4x^2

    4x^2 - 16x + 15 = 0

    So

    16 + _√256 - 240/8

    16 + _ √16 / 8

    16 + _ 4 / 8

    20/8 or 12/8

    2.5 & 1.5 are the numbers
