Jeff uses 3 fifth - size strips to model 3/5. he wants to use tenth size strips to models an equivalent fraction. how many tenth size strips will he need?

    How do you go from a denominator of 5 - - > 10

    well 2 * 5 = 10

    so if we want to change 3/5 to have a denominator of 10, we can multiple the entire fraction by 2/2 (or 1)
