Number of red drops required = 1200

Number of blue drops required = 800

    Step-by-step explanation:

    1 gallon = 8 pints

    50 gallons = 50 x 8 = 400 pints

Number of red drops per pint = 3

    Number of red drops for 400 pints = 400 x 3 = 1200

Number of blue drops per pint = 2

    Number of blue drops for 400 pints = 400 x 2 = 800

Hence, 1200 drops of red coloring and 800 drops of blue coloring the factory will need in the 50-gallon batch of purple paint.

Answer: 1200 red drops and 800 blue drops

Step-by-step explanation: 1 pint equals 3 red drops so multiply 3 by 8 to get 24 and multiply 24 by 50 gallons to get 1200 and do the same for the blue drops to end up with 800
