    In order to determine the perimeter we use the perimeter formula which is:

    2l + 2w

    Plug in the numbers listed in the question.

    2 (3) + 2 (16)

    6 + 32 = 38

    Thus, the perimeter of the rectangle is 38 meters.

    The perimeter of a rectangle is equal to the following equation ...

    Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 x length + 2 x width

    Side our length is 3 meters and width is 16 meters, we can use the equation.

    Perimeter = 2 x 3 + 2 x 16 = 6 + 32 = 38 meters
