    Let x = hours spent job A

    let y = hours spent job B

    14x + 12.50y = 600

    x + y = 45

    x=-y + 45

    14 (-y+45) + 12.5y = 600

    -14y + 630 + 12.5

    -1.5x + 630 = 600

    -1.5x=-30

    x=20

    (20) + y = 45

    y = 25

    20 hours job A, 25 hours job B
