    To find the volume of water in the pool, you can find the volume of the entire pool at 9 feet deep.

    V = lwh

    44 x 24 x 9

    V = 9504 ft.³.

    Half of the pool has a depth of 9ft, so divide 9504 ft.³ by two.

    4752 cubic feet is the volume of half the pool that is deep.

    Because the shallow end is only 3 feet deep, that is 1/3 of the volume of the half that is 9 feet deep.

    4752 cubic feet/3 = 1584 cubic feet for the volume of the shallow end.

    1584 ft.³ + 4752 ft.³ = 6336 ft.³
