    Mei: 6P + 3H = 90

    Scott: 1P + 4H = 71

    (p+4H=71) * - 6

    -6P - 24H = - 426

    6P + 3H = 90

    0P + - 21H = - 336

    -21/-21 - 336/-21

    H = 16 holiday wrapping paper is 16$

    1P + 4 (16) = 71

    1P + 64 = 71

    -64 from both sides

    p = 7 Plain wrapping paper is 7$

    Check your solution

    6 (7) + 3 (16) = 90

    42 + 48 = 90
