The top of a 22 foot ladder rests against the top of an 18 foot wall. If the base of the ladder is on the same ground level as that of wall, what angle does the ladder form with the ground?

    The hypotenuse is the 22 foot ladder. the height is 18 foot wall.

    If we want the angle by ground and ladder then the wall is opposite the angle. So so we have opposite and hypotenuse which is some. so:

    sin (a) = opposite/hypotenuse

    sin (a) = 18/22

    a = cos^-1 (8/11)

    a = 43.3
