    The formula for the surface area of the earth is 4 pi r^2 while the formula for the volume of the earth is 4/3 pi r^3 where r is the radius equivalent to 3960 miles. Substituting r to the formulae, the surface area to volume ratio of the Earth is 1/1320 or 0.00076
