Consecutive numbers whose sum is 438.

I did x+1x+2x

3x+1=438

3x = 438 - 1

3x = 437

x = 437 divided by 3

x = 145, 146 and 147

Is it right?

    3 consecutive integers

    you messed up on first step

    you got the x, x+1, x+2 part right

    then you did this: 3x+1=438

    you should have done: 3x+3=438

    then minus 3

    3x=435

    divide by 3

    x=145

    then

    x+1=146

    x+2=147

    numbers are 145,146,147

    to check, you could have found the numbers and seen if they added to 438
