7s + 4 (3-5) = 18
Multiply the bracket by 4
(4) (3) = 12
(4) (-5) = -20
7s+12-20=18
7s-8=18
Move - 8 to the other side.
Sign changes from - 8 to + 8
7s-8+8=18+8
7s=18=8
7s=26
Divide both sides by 7
7s/7=26/7
Answer: s=26/7 or s=3 5/7
