A donkey and a mule were carrying bags of grain. If the mule gave the donkey one bag, they would have the same number. If the donkey gave the mule on of his bags, the mule would have twice as many as the donkey. How many bags was each carrying? Explain.

    Mule = 3 bags

    donkey = 2 bags

    The mule was carrying 3 and the donkey was carrying 2.
