Last year, a married couple had two children

It means that they need to claim dependents, while filing their taxes.

Form 1040EZ doesn't allow to claim any dependents. Hence, the couple will need to use Form 1040. It is a longer form, but this is what will be required to do since they have children now.

No, partly because they will be able to claim two dependents. - APEX
