    Option (c) = He dig out 7.85 cubic meters

    Explanation:

    Dirt dug out of ground will be given by the volume of the cylindrical hole dug by Dan in his backyard.

    We are given that the hole is 2 meters across which means the diameter of cylinder, d = 2 m

    then radius of cylindrical hole, r = 1 m and

    depth of hole = 2.5 m which = height of cylinder = h

    Volume of cylinder hole is given by

    V = π x r x r x h

    = 3.14 x 1 x 1 x 2.5

    = 7.85 cubic meters which is the required answer.

    7.85

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Use the volume formula for a cylinder (V=πr^2h)

    π (1) ^2 (2.5) = 7.85
