A square's dimensions are tripled. How does the area change

    I think the area multiplies by 9

    Simply:

    l=length

    l=width because it's a square.

    l*2 for the area

    (2l) 9 = (2*3) (3l)

    Insert any number for the length and you'll get the same results.

    Basically, the change in the area is: Area*9=New Area
