The number of male in the group is a total of 200 mem. The number that is fit to climb in Mount Sasha is 12% of the men or 0.12*200 equal to 24. Hence the probability that a person picked at random from the group is a male or is fit to climb Mount Shasta is (200/500) + (24/500) equal to 44.8 percent
