    f (x) = 3x³ - 2x² + x; x = - 3

    ~Substitute

    f (-3) = 3 (-3) ³ - 2 (-3) ² + (-3)

    ~Solve the exponents

    f (-3) = 3 (-27) - 2 (9) + (-3)

    ~Multiply

    f (-3) = - 81 - 18 - 3

    ~Subtract

    f (-3) = - 102
