    D.

I found the greatest common factor of 72 and 40

    72: 1,2,3,4,6,8,9,12,13,14,36,72

    40: 1,2,4,5,8,10,20,40

If I divide both 72 and 40 by 8 I will have 9 red roses and 5 white roses in each bouquet.
